placeholder Queen of All Saints teacher honored

Areta Fleming, a teacher at Queen of All Saints School in Concord for the past 27 years, was honored yesterday (June 5) with a reception in the school hall.

Fleming began her teaching career in Denver in 1963 after graduating from college. In 1974, she joined the faculty of American Martyrs Catholic School in Manhattan Beach and came to Queen of All Saints in 1977. She taught English literature and spelling in the junior high grades and was a homeroom teacher for grades 6 and 8. From 1982-1985, she coordinated the “gifted pull-out” program at the school.
